Tracking confidence: Watchpoint depends on third-party and community aircraft feeds; not every aircraft is detected. Coverage varies with feed availability, receiver coverage, aircraft equipment, altitude, geography and other technical factors. Treat displayed tracks as situational awareness, not a complete or authoritative air picture.
Aircraft coverage follows the visible map. Markers use the best available aircraft category and reported track. Between public-feed updates, Watchpoint smoothly estimates movement from the last observed position, ground speed and heading. For readability on the operational map, the live marker projection is slightly accelerated between fixes and then corrected to the next received position; this presentation effect is never written into incident evidence. The dashed lead segment shows estimated movement, while the solid/fading trail records positions actually received. Click an aircraft for its live details and research links. Very wide views remain limited to 250 nautical miles from the map center.
